What I write
I write about a village called Kilbranna that doesn’t exist, on a stretch of Irish coast that mostly does.
Slow burns. People who take you in whether you asked to be taken in or not. Men who are wrong about nearly everything except the important bit.
Three books, all of them set in the same square mile. Open door, and no apologies. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I’ll announce all of it to the newsletter before anywhere else — not as a tactic, just because it’s the easiest way to tell people.
The village
Come and have a look at Kilbranna
It’s on the Loop Head peninsula, on the west coast of Clare, looking out at the Shannon estuary rather than the Atlantic — the ocean is a ten-minute drive north, and it’s a different country when you get there.
There’s a pub called Macs, which is also the shop, because there is one of each thing in Kilbranna and often they’re the same thing. Everyone knows everyone. Everyone has an opinion about you already.

Raised in the west of Ireland, Ally Hart is a lifelong storyteller, hopeless romantic, and devoted reader of romance novels.
She’s been writing stories since she was little, always finding herself lost in imaginary worlds and dreaming of one day seeing her own book on a shelf. When she’s not writing, she can usually be found with her nose in a book, falling hopelessly in love with yet another fictional man.
A mum to one, Ally draws inspiration from the wild beauty of the Irish countryside, everyday life, and, of course, a healthy imagination.
